ABOUT
Chloe Townsend is a UK and Europe-based interior designer whose work is defined by narrative depth, material sensitivity, and a multifaceted creative background. Her approach is shaped by an early foundation in craftsmanship, having trained as a goldsmith at the Accademia Delle Arti Orafe in Rome and as a gemmologist at GIA London, an education that continues to inform her refined attention to detail and materiality.
Prior to transitioning into interiors, Chloe founded and led her award-winning jewellery brand, Willow & Clo, for seven years. This experience gave her a comprehensive understanding of the design process, from concept and CAD development through to production, manufacturing, and procurement. Working across international trade shows from New York to Paris, she developed a strong commercial awareness alongside a highly considered design language.
Her move into interior design followed the curation of the Willow & Clo retail space, prompting her to study at the Dublin Institute of Design, where she graduated with full distinctions. During this time, she joined L’Estrange Designs, contributing to a range of progressive commercial projects and gaining valuable experience within a collaborative, client-focused studio environment.
Most recently, Chloe spent two years within Big Mamma Group’s in-house design studio, Studio Kiki. She was appointed design lead on Gloria Barcelona and Gloria Dublin, the most elevated concepts within the group’s portfolio, marking significant expansions into new territories. Alongside these, she led the design of Circolo Popolare in Dubai, part of the group’s signature collection, guiding the project toward its forthcoming opening.
Prior to this, Chloe worked at Linda Boronkay Design Studio, contributing to a number of internationally recognised hospitality projects, including The Whiteley in London, a Thompson Hotel in Rome, and Sir Prague. She was senior lead on the Sir Prague hotel, which was later shortlisted for the AHEAD Europe Awards (2025).
Operating between the UK and Europe, Chloe has developed a diverse portfolio spanning high-end hospitality, residential, and architectural projects. Through her studio, CTownsendDesigns, her work ranges from a Play Café in Parsons Green to the reimagining of a private art collector’s residence in Maida Vale.
She has collaborated with a range of leading hospitality brands and private clients, including Big Mamma Group, Sir Hotel Group, Hyatt Thompson Hotels, The Whiteley Hotel, Beaumarly, Airbnb, Nutbutter, Camile, Cava, Mad Egg, Rocket’s, Dockers, DOH, F45, The Station House and Clann Hospitality.
Now based in London, Chloe continues to lead projects both independently and collaboratively, creating immersive and enduring spaces defined by a distinctive and considered perspective.
